Thats the most common question that many first time home buyers face when they want to buy a house. How do I do it? How should I start? Who do I call?

Below, I will explain in a few steps to give you an idea of what it takes to start this home buying process. The goal is to make this journey as easy as it can be and  stress free for you.

Step 1

The Pre- Approval

The first step in the home buying process is to determine how much you can afford to spend on a home. You can do this by applying for a pre-approval letter. This will give you and idea of your purchase power. If you need help with financing please click below to connect with a lender.

Step 3

House Hunting

Once you’ve determined your budget and found a real estate agent, you can start your search for a home. This typically involves viewing homes that are for sale in the market place, all you have to do is deciding which ones you like best.

Step 4

Once you’ve found a home that you like, you can make an offer to the seller. Your real estate agent, can help you determine a fair offer based on the price of comparable homes in that area.

Step 5

Once your offer is accepted, it’s important to execute all contingencies stated in the offer. As soon as possible to identify any issues with the home. This can help you avoid unexpected expenses down the road.

Step 6

If you needed to finance the purchase of your home, you'll need to secure a mortgage. This involves providing documentation to a lender to demonstrate your creditworthiness. Documents are similar as when you submitted an application for the pre-approval letter.
